Local Progressive Group Accuses LCSO of Supporting “White Supremacy”

A local extreme progressive group is blaming the Leon County Sheriff’s Office for facilitating “white supremacy” and for “training and empowering the FSU shooter.”

Phoenix Ikner, the shooter responsible for the tragedy at FSU, was the stepson of an LCSO deputy and participated in LCSO events. Ikner was estranged from his biological mother.

The Tallahassee Community Action Committee (TCAC) – a group that has consistently referred to TPD officers as murders and are supporters of City Commissioners Jeremy Matlow and Jack Porter – recently promoted an event titled, “Fight Back Against White Supremacy – Demand LSCO Accountability.”

The event was scheduled to take place on Friday April 25 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office at 2825 Municipal Way.

After the shooter was identified, LCSO revealed that Phoenix Ikner was a “part of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office family” and served on the agency’s Youth Advisory Council.

Sheriff Walt McNeil stated at a press conference that he saw no immediate cause for Deputy Ikner’s suspension.

Deputy Ikner recently requested and was granted personal leave from her job as a school resource officer at Raa Middle School for an “indefinite” period.

I’m appalled by the rhetoric these people are sick but I also think the LCSO has questions to answer about why they allowed this nutcase shooter to affiliate with them.

  2. When you have nothing to stand on, and thus, no rational argument… resort to attacks using the race card, slander, hate, defamation, lies, and delusion.

    It’s the progressive’s way don’t ya know.

Didn’t that “event” draw something like 15 people….total? Nobody cares about this group of pathetic losers.

  4. Maybe, TCAC will offer to hold rallies and vigils to put an end to black-on-black crime and fatherless homes and then demands black elected officials named Richardson, Williams-Cox, Maddox, and Proctor do the same. The irony is LC Sheriff Walt McNeil (who has had the courage to address both of those issues) has been met with nothing but silence from the TCAC community (and said elected officials). Check out his report: Anatomy of A Homicide. https://www.leoncountyso.com/allin-leon/anatomy-of-a-homicide

  5. Too bad that Matlow and Porter continue to be re-elected to office, and Steve Steward being so smart, successful, and unable to win an election….

  6. It is troubling to see the LCSO being blamed by the TCAC for the FSU shooter, especially when there’s no clear evidence to support such a claim. Even more concerning is the perception that the LCSO may be sympathetic to individuals or ideologies linked to white supremacy—despite the fact that the current Sheriff is Black. This contradiction raises serious questions about internal consistency and leadership. As for the TCAC, their public statements and actions reflect a lack of clear direction and a concerning misunderstanding of the broader situation.

  7. Agree with David. It is interesting that the flyer features a clinched fist on a Black background indicating a closed mind ready to fight instead of negotiate or inform.
(NOTE: It is assumed that the word ‘Black’ must always be capitalized from reading news reports these days?)

  8. The TCAC is such a joke. If they had any intelligence whatsoever they would know that a majority of LCSO employees, especially the Brass, are not white.

“The Tallahassee Community Action Committee (TCAC) – a group that has consistently referred to TPD officers as murders and are supporters of City Commissioners Jeremy Matlow and Jack Porter” ……………………………… This tells you everything you need to know about the purpose of this Group.
